Quincie L. Moore
Executive Director,
SCASA
Dr. Quincie L. Moore is the Executive Director of the South Carolina Association of School
Administrators. Dr. Moore is from Gaffney, South Carolina, and attended Cherokee County
Schools. Dr. Moore started her career as a high school math teacher and went on to serve as
assistant principal, principal, and assistant superintendent. Quincie spent six years as the District Superintendent for the Cherokee County School District before being selected to lead the office of Early Learning and Literacy and later the Office of Career and Technical Education at the SC Department of Education (SCDE). While at the SCDE, she directed a pilot for the
state’s Science of Reading initiative for elementary students and the implementation of an
Artificial Intelligence career pathway for secondary students. Dr. Moore holds PhD and BS
degrees from the University of South Carolina as well as an EdS degree and an MBA from
Winthrop University.
Jami Marino
School & Community Advocacy Manager,
Cook Center for Human Connection
Jami Marino is honored to serve as the School & Community Advocacy Manager in the southeast at the Cook Center for Human Connection. She works alongside district leaders and stakeholders to implement mental health resources that support parents, caregivers, and staff within a specific community.
Over the last decade, Jami has had the distinct privilege of collaborating with districts throughout the southeast both with literacy initiatives and mental health efforts. She is passionate about each individual having resources regardless of circumstance and helping to break down barriers that prevent this. Being a parent as well, Jami focuses a great deal of effort on empowering other parents and families. One of the most rewarding examples of this was a family engagement project implemented in the state of South Carolina and in partnership with the South Carolina Department of Education to provide access to educational resources for 4-year olds in rural, underserved communities. She helped to facilitate this project at another non-profit organization, the Waterford Institute.
Jami graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a minor in Business from Skidmore College. She currently resides in Charlotte, North Carolina with her husband and 3 children-Chase, Landon, and Emeline.
Grace Brown
Sr. Manager of Impact & Curriculum,
Cook Center for Human Connection
Grace Brown, a dedicated advocate for nationwide mental health, joined the Cook Center for Human Connection with extensive expertise in implementing strategies for student achievement. As an Implementation and professional development expert, she’s coached educators in over 800 classrooms across the US.
Grace seamlessly combines deep expertise with a talent for simplifying and making complex concepts compelling. Grace crafted the curriculum for “My Life Is Worth Living” mental health web series and offers innovation that countless educators and administrators have implemented. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Utah and a Graduate Certificate in Early Educational Leadership from Harvard.
Michelle Bartsch
Vice President of Education,
Cook Center for Human Connection
Michelle Bartsch, as Vice President of Education at Cook Center for Human Connection, has been a leading force in mental wellness and non-profit initiatives across communities, schools and organizations nationwide for over 15 years. Her visionary work in developing ParentGuidance.org — a no-cost mental health resource—has been crucial in providing essential support to thousands of schools and millions of families over the past 4 years. Michelle also played a key role in the creation and launch of My Life is Worth Living, the first animated web series focused on youth mental health and suicide prevention. Additionally, she pioneered the Leadership & Happiness Symposium, an initiative that equips essential executive school and community leaders with the tools to make systemic improvements to their communities’ mental health cultures.
A highly sought-after keynote speaker, Michelle focuses on youth mental health initiatives and critical mental health support for staff, families and communities. Her voice has driven change at both state and national levels, championing the importance of education, leadership and human connection. Michelle holds a master of Science in Education and Bachelor of Business Administration from Texas Wesleyan University.
