STUDENTS DESIGN MENTAL HEALTH RESOURCES FOR PARENTS

the opportunity

Student designers from around the country had the opportunity to compete in the Certiport-Adobe Certified Professional Student National Championships, to design mental health promotional materials for ParentGuidance.org.

Each student competitor created a poster to display at a school where parents could learn more about mental health resources.

See their competition-day products and the revised products that are currently being used in Cook Center campaigns for ParentGuidance.org.

Student Work From Around The Country

Students Helping Parents

As Certiport’s nonprofit partner for the Adobe Certified Professional Student National Championships, the Cook Center for Human Connection asked students to create posters for ParentGuidance.org, to hang in schools just as kids are going back to school.

Many of them continued to work with the Cook Center to revise and improve their designs to make an even bigger impact.

These products will help parents access resources that will help them help their children thrive.

Reaching Bilingual Families

We took many of the students’ designs and created Spanish versions as well. It is an important part of our mission to reach as many parents as we can and most of our school partners have large Spanish-speaking families.

About the Contest

Each year Certiport hosts the Adobe Certified Professional National Championships. This competition gives students the opportunity to certify in the Adobe Creative Cloud software and compete by designing real-world products for non-profit organizations like the Cook Center.

The competition was to design a poster that we could provide to school districts across the country in time for back-to-school. These districts partner with the Cook Center to offer important, and often life-saving, mental health resources to parents, under our ParentGuidance.org brand. These resources only work if parents know about them.
